Now, as one of the most experienced ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialists in Connecticut, Dr. Vris has established an unsurpassed record for outcomes and safety across the spectrum of ear, nose and throat care.
has particular expertise in medical and surgical treatment of nasal and sinus disease, and has been a pioneer in developing minimally invasive techniques for sinus surgery and septal surgery (septoplasty). He has also developed successful treatments for vertigo (dizziness) when standard treatments have failed. He is currently working on a procedure for sensorineural hearing loss and has had excellent results in cases of sudden deafness that were thought to be hopeless. He has performed many microscopic ear reconstructions and stapedectomies for hearing restoration and is one of the few surgeons in Fairfield County who does this type of surgery. In addition to his focus on surgical solutions for hearing loss, Dr. Vris helped to design a prototype hearing aid that is today one of the most widely used designs in the world.
