Ms. Larisa Zaleta, LCSW
- Larisa is a 2007 graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work in New York City, where she received her Master’s Degree with a focus in Advanced Clinical Practice with Children and Families. Larisa specializes in working with children and adolescents of all ages and young adults. Larisa has experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, challenging/defiant behaviors, children/adolescents of divorced/separated parents, parenting/co-parenting issues, children/adolescents who have experienced numerous changes/transitions in their life, children/adolescents in the foster care system, bullying, social skills and grief.
Larisa has a special interest in how the utilization of technology/electronics impacts children, adolescents and their families and helps to work with family members to strengthen their communication and connection with one another. She has significant experience working as a clinician for several years in an intensive in-home therapeutic program, as well as experience working in outpatient clinics with children/adolescents, in-home programs providing clinical parent education, and working in the school system. Larisa uses a natural down-to-earth approach, using humor and focusing on strengths to help empower her clients. In addition to daytime hours, Larisa offers evening and Saturday appointments as well to accommodate families’ schedules.
