The virtual Democratic convention has potential to be a really cool thing, perfect for the times.

Especially since the conventions are really just commercials these days anyway, it's almost a perfect opportunity to use the medium to our benefit. With a combination of live and pre-recorded material, this can be an exciting way to liven up the convention experience for television, taking what would otherwise be a frustrating impediment and using it as an advantage.

I think of how lots of people were worried about what the virtual NFL draft would look like. Turns out that it was a fun experience, and commentators raved about what a nice change of pace it was.

Here's hoping the Democratic Party gets the best show business and tech people on this and absolutely nails it.

I think people are LOSING IT around here.

I live near Dayton OH.

As I pulled out of my parking out, I stopped as I saw a white woman crossing the intersecting sidewalk. She looked like a worn out middle-aged white woman, lugging a small backpack in the heat. I stopped well short of her, driving very slow out of the parking lot in the first place. I smiled and waved when I stopped....

Honestly, I don't see why Biden should debate Trump at all.

You can't debate liars. Or idiots. Or lying idiots. Showing where Trump is "wrong" in reasoning is a fool's errand. It's obvious to everyone with an ounce of grey matter in their heads that he only cares about himself. There is no "reasoning" going on there, and you're not going to "catch" him on anything. He'll just make things up to rationalize his way out of it.

He's wrong every day, twenty times per day. That's who he is. And 40% of Americans don't care.

Biden ought to just find a cabin out in the middle of nowhere and stay there until November 4th. Stay safe, no risks, no anything. Just let Trump continue to destroy himself.

I hope the GOPers are proud of themselves?

They put a man in office who has stolen the constitution and broke every law along the way! He has and with the help from his miniature McConnell filled the courts with 200 GOPer judges (young and mostly white males)! He has pushed our Allies to the brink of leaving us behind! He has cow towed to the world?s dictators and insulted the countries who have helped us in desperate times! He has blamed the media and others for his inadequate leadership and responses to the crisis we faced throughout his term! I could go and on, but it begs the question, why the F?k him? They can?t be that naive or can they? Turn a blind to what he can and will do if he stays in control will only destroy what dignity we have left! I have the feeling that he will start a war, just so he can stay in the White House? He maybe stupid, but remember stupid people can be more dangerous than the smartest person!

F**K Bolton.

He said in an interview that trump turned a 'blind eye' to the Coronavirus. Fact. So did you, ya worthless piece of shit. You stood by silently and let it happen. You were silent as more than 100K died. You refused to testify before congress about the clear and present danger that this posed on the American people. You did it to line your pockets with silver....FOR A FUCKING BOOK! ...

We are in a bad place in this country

An Attorney General working for a president can destroy Democracy. All he or she has to do is let the president's henchmen go free by dropping their cases. We need the republicans to pull their heads out of the their collective ass and join us in trying to save this country. I doubt they ever will, and that's what scares me the most.

Well, If You Like Corruption, Hatred, & Disease, Boy Have I Got a Blog For You

Y?know, just the other day I was thinking that the one thing this shitshow was missing was the traumatizing soundscape of the modern battlefield, so a big fat thumbs up to whoever added the all-night fireworks shows to the simulation; it?s that kind of loving attention to detail that makes life truly unbearable here in Hell. Well, that and, of course, the news:

I think we?ve lost track of which Friday Night Massacre we?re on now. XVIII? IX? X: Massacre in Space? That franchise is totally out of control; I thought it was a mistake when they added the masculine toilet guy to the cast, and it?s been all downhill from there. Anyway, Redactor General William Barr tried to fire Geoffrey Berman, the U.S. attorney overseeing several investigations into the Shart Cabal, by announcing Berman had resigned, only Berman went, ?shit that?s news to me, Jowls,? so there was a whole THING. In the end, Berman agreed to leave, but Barr didn?t get to install his preferred stooges, so...yay? American democracy gets to live to fight another day, I guess? I?ll take my good news where I can find it these days....
